enrollment

It is important to us that you are confident with your decision to enroll your child at Second home Child Care. We understand that while our teachers do our best to address the individual needs of all children enrolled, no one program can be ideal for all families.

Second Home Child Care requires a one on one in person meet and greet with our director to discuss what the program has to offer. It is important to us to meet the interest and needs of your child.

In this Meet & Greet, the director will also ask the parents to supply Second Home Child Care any developmental history problems or delays and necessary medical information, social or support services received for the child.

The Parent Agreement form will be reviewed and agreed upon by both parties. It is very important that your child has the opportunity to spend time in his/her classroom prior to beginning a regular program schedule. This will be scheduled in advance and a parent must accompany all children during the visit. Some children require a longer transition time before feeling comfortable in a new environment. Other children may just want to jump in! Careful observation will determine what is right for both you and your child.

waitlist

When enrollment reaches full capacity, new applicants will be placed on a waiting list. We ask that you reserve a place for your child by leaving your name, phone number, and child’s date of birth. Places are filled on a first come first served basis. Additionally, priority is given to siblings of children who are already enrolled at our program. The offer placement may also be affected by the number of days or hours that you may need for your child.
